Breaking news of the latest right-winger incited to commit acts of violence in support of the most virulent political party since the Nazis. A Kansas abortion doctor was gunned down in cold blood today in a Wichita, Kansas church, just another example of how these religious fanatics that dare to call themselves Christians would make Jesus puke were he return to earth tomorrow – then the same bastards would crucify his liberal ass. Here we have yet another example of the sort of mayhem that unstable, armed-to-the teeth freaks are capable of when their buttons are pushed by the malignant filth the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and the rest of the house propagandists for the American fascist state. Nothing is sacred to these miscreants, murdering their whole families and then committing suicide is commonplace, the same houses of worship that they claim to be places of sanctity are now legitimate shooting galleries, shit some lunatic right-winger not long ago dressed up as Santa Claus and massacred a houseful of former relatives including children. A terminally diseased political philosophy breeds this type of scum and they should all be subject to euthanasia for the good of society. If you consider that to be overly harsh just imagine how many of these human time bombs that you in your normal daily doings encounter, they hate liberals, gays, minorities and even going to the grocery store becomes a dangerous endeavor when surrounded by them.

Which brings me to the Republican slime machine’s filthy attack on Obama SCOTUS nominee Sonia Sotomayer, the spectacle a pack of racist swine playing the reverse race card in order to derail her confirmation is beyond the pale. Even more despicable is the way that the corporate media play right into it, giving credibility to the cowardly rhetoric of reverse discrimination that has been bandied about by the red-assed right. Perhaps the worst aspect of what appears to be a long and drawn out melodrama by the titans of truth who brought us all the O.J. Simpson circus, Michael Jackson’s ongoing saga over a flurry of allegations of pedophilia, Natalee Holloway, Jon Benet and the amazing adventures of Laci and the fetus is that a career reprobate like Newton LeRoy Gingrich is given one ounce of credibility. Gingrich is a fiend, a serial adulterer, a liar, a cheat, a pathological degenerate with the psychological makeup of a pederast and a charlatan whose Herculean ego is the embodiment of short man syndrome.

The proclivity of Gingrich to rebuild his political career from the ashes of embarrassment and failure in a Nixonian fashion has been spayed across cable television ‘news’ and the rapidly collapsing under the weight of their own bullshit newspaper industry is an affront to the intelligence of America. Whoops, better strike that last comment, considering that we live in a burgeoning idiocracy were trash TV is king and the lepers bathe in the electronic stream of foulness as though they were lepers swimming in the waters of Lourdes I certainly don’t mean to give the average American moron too much credit. To qualify that, it is an affront to the senses of those of us with finely tuned bullshit detectors in our brains, more than a semblance of decency and humanity and a reality based view of history that outlasts the meteoric rise and fall of the beautiful and talented beacon of inspiration that is Susan Boyle.

Gingrich calls Sotomayer a “Latina woman racist”. What the fuck? Can’t we just flush down this rotten turd once and for all? What a horse’s ass! Might I remind people that this philandering little fascist dwarf was engaged in some serious adulterous fornication himself while he waged an ugly public jihad against Bubba Clinton for getting his stogie smoked. By the way, while Gingrich the fat, oversexed swine with the bad ‘do was bringing the full power of the snake infested Republican Congress down on our horny hillbilly prez, Osama bin Laden, the Cheney cabal, the Wall Street plunderers and the rest of the real threats to American safety were using the prurient salivating to plot their coming attacks.

Knowing the laws, I would never call for the assassination of a public figure but were I to be a Republican that has no such qualms about these things I would love to see that phony hairpiece that adorns Gingrich’s pathologically horny, conniving, demon-infested dome nailed to a fencepost someplace – feed the body to the pigs, who the fuck really cares as long as he is gone. He can usually be located in a FOX ‘News” studio – a target rich environment for anyone who may be sincere about cleaning up America and downsizing the fascist quotient. If I were to win Powerball this weekend there would certainly be less worthy things to use the money for than posting a bounty on that little douchebag, normally you can just call the Orkin man when the rats are massing but eliminating a world class, anti-American swine with a soapbox as dangerous as this would take some serious coin. Then again, once his hatemongering racism in spreading vindictive virulence to derail the Sotomayer nomination along with the growing backlash against Republican fomenting of violence in their ranks against the ‘brown menace’ it would probably take less than a hundred bucks and a bottle of good tequila to provide encouragement for some real victim if institutionalized racism Republican style to give this fat little prick a Columbian necktie in the name of justice.

Were I a believer in Hell I have no doubt that it would be full of Republican ‘Christians’. Also the justification against the jihad against gays seems to me to be an outwardly expressed version of self loathing. Hell, there are plenty of gay Republicans, just get over it, do what is natural, cast aside your religious hokum and leave everybody else the fuck alone. Of course the ongoing demonizing of gay people is a boon to fascist Republicans, it is as consistent with their Hitler 101 playbooks as any of the rest of their disgusting horseshit.

Of course the Obama administration with the bestowment of trillions to the grifters of Wall Street and the hedge fund hyenas will only ensure that any sort of socialism will be heavily slanted towards the rich, the corporations and those who have hijacked the political system to protect their ability to remain the fuckers and keep the other 99 percent of the populations in their proper places as fuckees. But try to tell this to one of the imbeciles at one of those fucking tea parties. It just doesn’t register to the simian minded poltroons that they are out there essentially defending the rights of King George and the redcoats, that puts it in a bit of historical perspective.

Much to the delight of befuddled, fear-stricken Americans and the heinously sadistic neocons whose grotesque perversion ensured that along with that nifty little nickname The Homeland that the good ole USA would become a torture state it has been announced that there will be no enforcement of the law by the incoming Obama administration. The foul mouthed, weasel eyed little prick Rahm Emanuel slammed down his jackboot resoundingly on the Sunday morning bloviation circuit and decreed that there will be no prosecution of the war criminals from the Bush administration for their engaging in torture. Hell, the gangster Emanuel – a danger to America that must be reigned in – even flippantly compared this week’s release of the torture manuals as something was basically irrelevant and that the information could be found – and I shit you not…in the New York Review of Books. Here is a piece of the transcript from his ever smarmy former Clinton administration crony George Stephanopoulos’s show that shit eyes Emanuel appeared on Sunday morning:

EMANUEL: It’s kind of a — let me say this. One of the reasons the president was willing to let this information out was that already the information was out. So if they’re saying that you basically have exposed something, it’s been written. Go get the New York Review of Books. It’s there.

So the notion that somehow, we’re exposing something — it’s already been out. In fact, President Bush let — allowed — let it — allowed a lot of this information out. So the notion that somehow this all of a sudden is a game changer doesn’t take cognizance of the fact that it’s already in the system and in the public domain. Therefore, it’s not new. So the notion that that is something we’ve built in — it’s already been there.

Number two, it’s one of the key tools Al Qaida has used for recruitment. There has been a net cost to America. By changing the way America is seen in the world, which means banning this technique and practice, we have actually stopped them and prevented them from using it as a rallying cry.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Final quick question. The president has ruled out prosecutions for CIA officials who believed they were following the law. Does he believe that the officials who devised the policies should be immune from prosecution?

EMANUEL: What he believes is, look, as you saw in that statement he wrote, and I would just take a step back. He came up with this and he worked on this for about four weeks, wrote that statement Wednesday night, after he made his decision, and dictated what he wanted to see. And Thursday morning, I saw him in the office, he was still editing it.

He believes that people in good faith were operating with the guidance they were provided. They shouldn’t be prosecuted.

STEPHANOPOULOS: What about those who devised policy?

EMANUEL: Yes, but those who devised policy, he believes that they were — should not be prosecuted either, and that’s not the place that we go — as he said in that letter, and I would really recommend people look at the full statement — not the letter, the statement — in that second paragraph, “this is not a time for retribution.” It’s time for reflection. It’s not a time to use our energy and our time in looking back and any sense of anger and retribution.

While I have been early on the record with my criticism of the incoming Obama administration (Hell, it would be the utmost in hypocrisy in not holding him to the same standards I held Bush to although the sycophantic O-bots would disagree) for what at first appeared to be a backdoor Clinton restoration. The very early escalation of the war in Afghanistan was bad enough, the ongoing capitulation to Republican Nazis out of some insane fantasy of bipartisan ship was worse, then it took an even more outrageous turn when it became apparent that the Wall Street pigs would find their troughs full of taxpayer loot under Summers and Geithner and now has become something much more dark and sinister with the refusal to restore the law and punish the torturers. I can certainly understand that slimy little cocksucker Emanuel’s reluctance to adhere to international law, his dual citizenship certainly doesn’t compel him to act in any manner that would potentially draw attention to participation of Israeli intelligence in criminal acts conducted under the blanket of the bogus war on terror. A former IDF man and son of a militant Zionist terrorist couldn’t possibly be expected to set a precedent that may legitimize international outrage over Israeli war crimes including killing babies and any sort of Obama led attempt to restore a sense of morality could come back to bite a pack of war criminals in the ass.

Now I am obliged to also note that one of those who are guilty of war crimes – at least according to the Spanish court that had considered indictments of the Bush Six is one certain filthy little neocon rat named Douglas J. Feith, a member of the Richard Perle-Bibi Netanyahu report on carving out a nice chunk of Israeli Lebensraum (never mind the brutality and body count) that was entitled A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm as well as one of the little dark elves that toiled in Cheney and Rummy’s notorious propaganda chop shop the Office Of Special Plans that lied us into the Middle East wars of aggression. Feith’s daddy, Dalk was a member of the extremist Betar youth movement that was a precursor to the Likud. It is really quite impossible to take any sort of serious look at the American human rights abuses and war atrocities of the new American century without taking into account the longtime corrosive moral degradation that comes from being the handmaiden to the rogue Zionist realm of dark and bloody oppression.

This entire thing reeks of the same different set of standards regarding human rights atrocities that has so metastasized in recent years. And the big stinky kosher pig in the middle of the living room is Israel and the ongoing capitulation of yet another administration that at least in theory is supposed to be serving the American people but let’s face it, when annoiting Rahm Emanuel is the first act of Obama the fix is once again in. There will be a slow ratcheting up of pressure on B.O. to ‘see the light’ on the necessity of attacking Iran…it is coming. For example the Zionist propagandists are already calling Obama’s policies a threat to God’s chosen land see Haaretz story – MI Chief: Obama Mideast policy threatens Israel. Then there was yesterday’s ridiculous and obviously planned sideshow of envoys walking out of the U.N. anti-racism conference when the ‘New Hitler’ Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dared to call that racist genocidal shithole Israel a racist state that practices genocide. As Orwell once said, “in a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act” and god knows we sure as shit can’t handle the truth in lemming land. A further note on the dog and pony stunt at the U.N. racism conference (the exalted champion of human rights and TORTURE that is the USA was crudely bullied into not attending by the usual vermin) is that the sainted Elie Wiesel was among the leaders and who came out and called for the jailing of Ahmadinejad. In all sympathy for Wiesel, a survivor of the Nazi horrors in the death camps the constant invocation of The Holocaust as blanket justification to out Nazi the fucking Nazis in murder, torture, terror and violence is bullshit and he knows it. Having been fleeced by Bernie Madoff it is sad to see the Nobel Peace Prize laureate having to stoop to such cheapjack publicity stunts, were it not so dangerous to world peace it would be pitful.

I certainly didn’t intend for this to be an anti-Israel rant but since I am on the topic I also would like to opine that America’s transformation into a police/torture state could never have occurred without that fascist goon colony as a blueprint. The intimidation and perception management apparatus that Israel has implemented here is something that is both wondrous to behold and monstrous at the same time. The war on terror used as a post 9/11 excuse to justify the transformation was greeted with glee by the real New Hitler Bibi Netanyu who openly stated that 9/11 was good for Israel. It has become common practice to use the Israeli model of the hyping of horror to justify even more horror and repression and with Rahm Emanuel as Batman to Obama’s Robin we haven’t seen anything yet. In an important sidenote regarding Israeli bribery, blackmail and espionage that will soon disappear down the memory hole. Jane Harman, the whore of AIPAC was caught by an NSA wiretap colluding to peddle influence in what should be a huge scandal the reaches into the very bowels of the Bush White House and the torture man himself Alberto Gonzales. The abysmal moral failure of Barack and the Obamanauts with their refusal to hold accountable those responsible for these acts of evil is astonishing, as we are all sitting here right now we are witnessing something far worse than Ford pardoning Nixon. After all, Nixon never signed off on torture and damned as he tried he was never able to get anywhere near the disembowelment of the Constitution that the Bush-Cheney Axis of Evil pulled off along with their legal eagles like Addington, Bybee and Yoo. As much of a shock that this may be to those who exalted in the scenes in Chicago’s Grant Park on that November 4th evening or in the historic festival of euphoria that was Washington D.C. on inauguration day we are now seeing our great champion of change putting his own seal of approval on some of the most disgusting acts of flagrant fascism in this country’s history. This is more than just turning a blind eye for the sake of unity, or as the propagandists push their Pollyanna version of public relations derived drivel of a grand and cleansing national rejuvenation of “looking forward’, this is the Barack Obama administation’s assumption of complicity in these horrors. Imagine the Nuremburg Trials only with the most insidious of Nazi mass murdering scum lectured, given suspended sentences and sent about their merry torturing way…but this is worse. As skidrow poet Charles Bukowski once wrote; “if you’re losing your soul and you know it, then you’ve still got a soul left to lose”, what does it say of the majority of Americans, especially the O-bots if they can’t muster any outrage over this? It makes them the moral equivalent of their counterparts who worshipped George W. Bush under the Fuhrerprincip that was the unitary executive theory that turned the presidency into a dictatorship after 9/11.

A Brief Interlude: In Jack’s Country

The torture memos just leave me breathless and sickened. It’s not like I didn’t know what was going on, I live in the real world and refuse to be spoonfed by the corporate media machine. The unbelievable brutality and the codifying of it into law makes me want to vomit, it makes me truly ashamed to be an American. The thing that I can’t get over though is the part about the bugs. The waterboarding of the phony 9/11 ‘terrorist’ attack mastermind 138 fucking times in one month is bad enough, the nakedness and the beatings too, the sadomasochistic perverts that are drawn to the authoritarian right like coffin flies to fresh shit is a given. I mean, what the fuck is up with the goddamned torture by insects? That is something so macabre that it is out of a Dr. Phibes flick and would be hard to believe if not for the history of MKULTRA and other diabolical torture and mind control programs underwritten by the American taxpayer. Sick motherfuckers these neocon bastards are, I mean if there is any justice (and that is a fantasy) then the likes of David Addington, John Yoo, Douggie Feith and that Federalist Society Nazi and now Federal Judge Jay Bybee then they would be made to endure a fitting punishment: death by scaphism. I can understand if this is too much for the squeamish but it is the least that these pricks deserve:

Scaphism, also known as the boats, was an ancient Persian method of execution designed to inflict torturous death. The name comes from the Greek word skaphe, meaning “scooped (or hollowed) out”.

The naked person was firmly fastened within a back-to-back pair of narrow rowing boats (or a hollowed-out tree trunk), with the head, hands, and feet protruding. The condemned was forced to ingest milk and honey to the point of developing severe diarrhea, and more honey would be rubbed on his body so as to attract insects to the exposed appendages. They would then be left to float on a stagnant pond or be exposed to the sun. The defenseless individual’s feces accumulated within the container, attracting more insects, which would eat and breed within his or her exposed and increasingly gangrenous flesh. The feeding would be repeated each day in some cases to prolong the torture, so that dehydration or starvation did not provide them with the release of death. In other recorded versions, the insects did not eat the person; biting and stinging insects such as wasps, which were attracted by honey on the body, acted as the torture.
Death by scaphism was painful, humiliating, and protracted. Plutarch writes in his biography of Artaxerxes that Mithridates, sentenced to die in this manner for killing Cyrus the Younger, survived 17 days before dying.

This system is being preserved because despite whatever the new frontman for the empire might say to the contrary it is imperative that the ability to torture remain as one of the most kick ass clubs in the bag. The economy is in freefall and despite what the spinners try to tell us the jobs are NEVER coming back, there is also a growing desperation and the agent provocateurs of the oligarchy are whipping the knuckle draggers up into a full blown murderous frenzy – another Nazi tactic adapted for the American Homeland. The establishment would like nothing more than some sort of violent response, perhaps a new Timothy McVeigh style strike that provide the justification for the lockdown of the police street control grid. Then the paramilitary thugs weaned on the exploits of Jack Bauer could truly go into action. The Stasi style surveillance system will ensure that when the time comes that the lists will be ready for those designated to do the pickups. While the filthy torturers have been allowed the ideological cover of cracking the skulls, busting the spleens and waterboarding only suspected ‘terrorists’ it will be very soon that people who are outspoken, patriotic Americans will become increasingly tempting targets for a state run amok. I have always maintained that the torture was being beta tested for the day that it will be turned on political dissidents and there is nothing on earth that will convince me otherwise.

Then there is the looting and the stinking torture state that has been put into place to protect the looters and the rest of the bastards.

If we are unwilling and unable to exist under a system of laws than ultimately we are no better than beasts.

When looking at today’s social and political trends it is fairly easy to extrapolate forward several years and when taking into consideration our new style fascist bent as well as the desire of theocrats to roll back the clock to the good old days of the Inquisition and along with an abundant supply of desperate, destitute, dumbed down, reality television addicted zombies and it could only be a matter of time until some cable televisioni network smash hit reality show will be American Torquemada where any influential government critic could become the featured guest. It would be a huge ratings pull for sweeps week.

America needs to scream now and scream loudly in unified righteous outrage in order to stop this decline into despotic barbarism. Silence only increases the chances that you will be screaming much louder if it is ever you who finds yourself strapped to the torture table.

A Rotting Empire, A Restive Oligarchy and Ron Paul

First off I want to emphatically state that I do not endorse political candidates and this piece should not be interpreted as an endorsement for Ron Paul, rather it is a series of my thoughts on why it is that his popularity continues to grow. I don’t endorse candidates for the simple reason that I always prefer to call out hypocrisy and corruption both of which are plentiful and have gotten to a point where I have developed an extreme distaste for the electoral process itself. I have in the past done a good amount of posting on blogs that wear their party loyalty on their sleeves and while I have generally preferred Democrats I just don’t have the fucking stomach for them anymore either. Besides, I am now and have always been a registered independent although I increasingly am finding myself drawn towards a more libertarian point of view for what should be obvious reasons. I have nearly always voted Democrat for the sole reason that it is the lesser of two evils but goddammit it I am sick and tired of voting for an evil at all and we all should start to demand more rather than just the newest versions the same indecent and dishonest shits who adorn the ballot while men of ideals and merit are cast aside by the media and big money but more on that later. I would absolutely have to concur with the used and then abused Cindy Sheehan in her excellent column The ‘Fix’ where she calls a spade a spade because let’s face it, when CNN is rigging debates in favor of Hillary Clinton to the extent that Brent Budowsky is able to say with total accuracy that:

And I might add when such a ‘debate’ is mediated by former AIPAC lobbyist and well known establishment lackey Wolf Blitzer while Nosferatu lookalike and veteran Clinton operative James Carville is given any cred at all as an impartial analyst then indeed the fix is in.

I do not happen to agree at all with many of Ron Paul’s domestic policy ideas although I am vehemently against the wars both at home and abroad. They are wars that the Democrats played the base and independents as fools by promising to bring the troops home and put a halt to the Bush-Cheney junta’s war against the Constitution and then reneged once they were given control of Congress by suckers like us who they are now playing for fools once again. As with most others sickened by the betrayal of the jackass party as well as their marginalizing of progressives like Dennis Kucinich, mavericks like Mike Gravel and their keeping John Edwards on a short leash lest all of the loss of dignity, the death, the misery and the rank stupidity of the last seven years be in vain. You just can’t sacrifice all that has been sacrificed for the miserable ambitions of one woman and her reprobate husband to be impeded so close to the finish line. I often wonder how much the soon to be queen’s relentlessness has contributed to the pathetic and embarassing reign of Harry Reid who has presided over Hillary’s temple of eunuchs lest a stronger personality intrude on her limelight, the fecklessness of the Congress as well as the shank that they planted in the backs of the antiwar base has greatly contributed to my current state of anger and disenfranchisement. The failure of the Democrats to function as an effective opposition party is perhaps as big a contributor to Paul’s surge as anything else and he would end these fucking wars.

I also think that Paul’s criticism of the Federal Reserve system has a good deal of merit because the more that I learn about it the more it appears to be nothing more than a great big Ponzi scheme but that is a very long and convoluted topic that I will have to address at another time in order to do it with the justice that it deserves. For those interested in The Fed there is plenty of material out there that exposes this foul pseudo governmental entity that was set up through subterfuge, has been shrouded in secrecy since it’s inception and was chaired for nearly two decades by Ayn Rand cultist Alan Greenspan. ‘Greenie’ was initially canonized by Wall Street and the looter society spawned by Reagan as some sort of iconic figure and financial mystic but now that all of the elaborate scams are beginning to come unraveled. Now the dollar is dropping like Newton’s Law of Gravity and the ugly little truth that America’s manufacturing capability has been reduced to assembling Big Macs and Whoppers, rampant speculation and moving nonexistent money around and erecting a surveillance state while our top export is death and suffering courtesy of the Halliburtons, Blackwaters and other blood barters of the world is beginning to dawn on all but the most moronic and those whose sole mission in life is to sniff Brittney Spears’ panties (metaphorically of course). It’s time to reform this entire fucking putrid system and for the first time a lot of people are starting to get it that nothing else will suffice.

I am a loyal American and a patriot who loves the country but despises the fucking fascist assholes running it and is horrified at the ongoing gutting of our great constitution, the transformation of the corporate media into an arm of a government run amok and the extremely dangerous and foolish ideology that is neoconservatism and I find common ground with Ron Paul on all of these. He also gave the most impressive speech condemning the neocons that I have yet to hear from an elected politician and it was in 2003 (transcript) when most of this bullshit could still have been avoided. Paul’s brilliant response to the huffing and puffing indignant shithead Rudolph Giuliani during the FOX dog and pony show ‘debate’ in South Carolina when he dared to suggest that 9/11 was a result of our misguided foreign policy and the resultant blowback stood out for his sheer audacity to not be one of the rich white guys invoking Jack Bauer and trying to out Nazi each other. Paul stood his ground and when the show was over calmly offered up a reading list for the American Il Duce and 9/11 fear pimp. It was classic and stunning if only for the simple reason that none of the other corporate products being groomed for the top slot would dare to utter anything so close to the truth. This was the exact moment that Ron Paul went from obscurity to a factor and it was all due to him standing up like a pre 9/11 American and speaking the truth to power.

That being said I want to take a look at the so-called Ron Paul phenomenon that has the oligarchy scared shitless to the point where their attack dog propagandists like dimestore demagogue Glenn Beck are sent out to make the disturbing allegations that Paul supporters are dangerous anarchists and potential ‘terrorists’ along the lines of one Timothy McVeigh. At the same time in a two-pronged attack on dissent elected officials with a history of questionable loyalty (namely AIPAC whore Jane Harman) who also has deep involvement with the foulest elements of the defense industry are furiously working to pass legislation enabling them to develop a very loose definition of what constitutes terrorism that in essence borders on Pre-Crime as portrayed in the movie Minority Report. This is an extremely dangerous piece of legislation that should not be taken lightly by anybody who values the concept of free speech, free association and the ability to read and write what one chooses but while the mainstream media jerks the public off once again with the ridiculous ‘newest developments’ in the Natalee Holloway saga (Jesus Fucking Christ, what’s next, an exhuming of Laci and the fucking fetus?) they are entirely silent on this latest egregious attempt to shut down what was once a free and open society.

Harman’s demon child which is formally called H.R. 1955 – Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 was recently addressed by Amy Goodman on Democracy Now and is correctly seen outside of the pocket press as the grave threat to freedom that it truly is. It has already sailed through the House of Hoyer and Pelosi by a 404-6 vote and will surely be passed in the Senate where it conveniently will be taken up by that treacherous little fish-faced pigfucker Joe Lieberman’s Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. This is nothing less than a blatant attempt to crackdown on activists, bloggers and truth seekers whose relentless probing is only beginning to expose the extent that the entire fucking United States government and a media that has been thoroughly infiltrated by moles has become a snakepit without a bottom. I would strongly recommend checking out Indypendent for Jessica Lee’s fine article on this serious attempt to destroy America from within entitled Bringing the War on Terrorism Home: Congress Considers How to ‘Disrupt’ Radical Movements in the United States and taking appropriate action to educate everyone possible on the ramifications of allowing this latest plank of an authoritarian police state to be cemented into place – even if it is holiday shopping season and there is football to watch – that being sardonic humor on my part, this is serious fucking business.

Honestly I don’t know what the meatheads, pollsters, party moguls and rank political whores don’t understand about the appeal of GOP (in name only) dark horse candidate Ron Paul. He is for the Constitution and against the wars and rather than the normal business as usual horse trading, backstabbing, triangulating and dicking around that keeps continually inept dipshit Democratic party beltway elitist consultants like Bob Schrum employed despite their epic history of incompetence perhaps it’s time for someone in the jackass party to get a fucking clue before the 2008 election goes up in their hand like the same flaming bag of dogshit that their overpaid clown strategists keep handing to them in a perverse reenactment of Groundhog Day and given the arrogant way that they have treated their real base in basically saying “fuck you, we’re not ending the war” and allowing George W. Bush wide latitude in destroying the country I would not count on them turning out again for more of the same. Republicans can always mobilize the knuckle dragging denizens of peckerwood nation, the Raptureheads and the pathological haters and racists but they work hard at appealing to the brainless and the dumb, liberals and progressives are actually able to think and many of them are beginning to think that the entire system is one big con designed only to keep a façade of false legitimacy plastered across the front of the whorehouse.

The Democrats are to the Republicans what the Washington Generals were to the Harlem Globetrotters and Ron Paul is a threat to a putrefying system just as Ross Perot was back in 1992 when he essentially stopped the Bush dynasty dead in it’s tracks at least for a short period, and Perot was spot on about the disaster of NAFTA, the great David Sirota weighs in on this in his latest piece. Paul though is a far bigger menace to the existing order as the Bush restoration gave rise to the neeocons, tripped the latch for the Wall Street pigs and financial hucksters to be loosed and the junta has gone to work on eliminating the constitution all facilitated by a unified force field projected by a pocket media hellbent on preserving the poisonous status quo at all costs. People are much more angry now than in 92, the system itself is on the brink of collapse, wars are engulfing the planet, the dollar is worth jack shit and the technological advances that gave us the internet have allowed for many to become educated as never before to the criminality of it all.

Granted that the majority of moron America stays glued to their beloved televisions dooling over lemming food and addicted to the accompanying mental masturbation but there really are millions out there working the net, reading and rebelling. They are also coming to the conclusion that the Democrats are thoroughly corrupt, to the extent where ‘debates’ are rigged in favor of the oligarchy’s queen in waiting who will only continue the policies of Bush, a change agent who pushed it to the wall and now a more moderate face is brought in to drive the war machine but the ultimate goal remains the same – keep the wars going, implement the police state and protect the ruling elite. The Clintons know all too well how the game works. Bill was a disciple of Carroll Quigley whose massive historical tome Tragedy and Hope spoke of the real movers and shakers, the men behind the curtain or as the father of public relations Edward Bernays once correctly tagged them: “Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country”.

A critical thing to take into account is that the Bushreich has been so extreme and the toady Democrats so abominable that the whole fucking game is now becoming exposed, the ball of string is now unraveling and the big onion being peeled with each layer being worse than the one preceding it. The internet has done the oligarchy and the criminals that it employs in governments immense damage by allowing for their long history of covert ops, drug running, assassinations, hostile takeovers of countries and the accompanying slaughter of ‘leftists’, market rigging and in the case of 9/11 a coup d’etat piggybacked on top of terrorist attacks. The transformation of the media into a propaganda arm of the octopus has actually to a large degree backfired with more people reading more, networking and digging deeper, technology has at least for the time leveled the playing field a bit but as Harman’s decidedly anti-American bill shows they are rapidly working to beat back the threat of an informed and agitated populace. They can criminalize whatever the fuck they choose to but the truth of the matter is that you just can’t put the toothpaste back into the tube and more people are losing faith in these corrupt bitches and bastards by the day. They are going down and no amount of slanderous inference or reckless legislation to criminalize free speech is going to stop them. The United States is being methodically and incrementally dragged to the precipice of the abyss of fascism and I would stongly recommend reading Naomi Wolf’s excellent analysis of this in this Guardian article which is examined in greater depth in her new book The End Of America: Letter Of Warning To A Young Patriot and finally there is some pushing back against the neocon juggernaut and their Vichy appeasers in the Judas Democrat party over their sad legacy of feckless appeasement.

so In a nutshell the complete failure of the American political system is what fuels the Ron Paul machine and it transcends traditional definitions of who can and should be allowed to be allies. The recognition that tt’s all one great big fucking sham, a rigged game of 3 card monte on the main drag of a Potemkin village of a legitimate democracy that masks a globalist, corporate and militarist agenda that will now rest until billions have been beggared, enslaved and left for dead. Justin Raimondo of the outstanding Antiwar.com hits the target dead center with this from a recent column on Dr. Paul’s popularity entitled Why Are They So Afraid Of Ron Paul?:

I find that the truly exciting thing about Ron Paul’s popularity is that we are now witnessing a nascent movement that actually has the potential to grow into a political force to be reckoned with. Shit, this is all beautiful to me. I grew up in the Seventies when questioning authority was in vogue and I couldn’t be more revolted at this sick joke of an era and the line-dancing over the cliff of legions of ass-sniffing lemmings. It is an amazing experience when I am mocked by co-workers and family members for daring to try to explain how our very ability to make a living is imperiled by the massive fraud of the subprime scams, globalization, endemic greed on Wall Street and a falling dollar but the same people engage in endless banter about every bit of triviality and minutia regarding the lives of Paris, Brittney, The Donald or whatever other example of what one should aspire to be happens to be pimped by the corporate media on any given day. Bush’s post 9/11 wasteland of dumbness, decadence and desperation.

Part Two – The Golden Rule: ALWAYS kill the messenger:

Ron Paul’s crossover appeal absolutely horrifies the ruling class, his anti-abortion views are unbelievably based on principle (a career obstetrician) rather than any sort of religious hokum or political expedience. God forbid that the one great mobilizing issue that cements the bogus left-right paradigm that has fucked this country up for the past forty years be treated in a way that is less than sacrosanct for it has proven to be a useful holy grail in preserving the power of the elitists and the establishment. The rarest of bipartisan alliances is starting to percolate upwards through the corporatist media and it is an all out effort to stop Ron Paul in his tracks. Dennis Kucinich was easy prey with the killshot delivered by beltway hack Tim Russert that reduced the anti-war Democrat to just another loon babbling about UFO’s. They distorted the audio for the now famous “Dean Scream” to kneecap outsider Howard Dean in 2004, Mike Gravel was terminated with extreme prejudice and war critics are affixed with devil horns and castigated for being dangerous anarchists and leftists who worship at the altar of Karl Marx.

The entire fucking fascist movement has been built on the back of overturning Roe V. Wade and yet despite total extreme right-wing Republican control of every fucking branch of the government right after the hapless Democrats were spanked in 2004 it never even came close to being wiped from the slate. With a fanatic blood sucking little tick like Tom DeLay who seriously believed in the eradication of the existing system, a stranglehold on power in the Presidency, the Judiciary and the Congress, a braying horde of theocratic brownshirts who were foaming at the mouth to avenge Terri Schiavo it should have been dead certain that abortion be outlawed and that the death penalty applied (some have suggested by stoning) to physicians who would provide such services. Yet it didn’t happen for if it did it would be the equivalent of a large bucket of water on a smoldering fire, starving a movement of its energy, depriving the simpleton counter revolution of their raison d’etre and removing the biggest sideshow issue of modern times and this could not be allowed to happen under ANY circumstances because Christ only knows the aversion that the dummies and the angry army and the peckerwoods have to actually taking a look at the REAL issues that really affect their lives.

And Paul is in their sights now, it will be a brutal triangulation of crossfire already blessed by an oligarchy growing increasingly restive as the internet slowly and methodically exposes them as the murdering, blood thirsty parasites that they truly are. Once Paul is taken down then the queen in waiting will have a clear path, Hell the red carpet has already been rolled out and the ‘debates’ are just stagecraft to sell our sham democracy to the suckers. The nasty character assassinations of Paul and his followers are now everywhere as phase two of Gandhi’s famous proclamation of “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win” has ended and phase three has begun with a vengeance.

As I previously mentioned the insipid baby faced Beck who prior to his ascendance to CNN house propagandist was a third rate local loser shock jock who specialized in such matters of grave import as sponsoring eating contests took point in launching the smear campaign along with the flipped Marxist that is America’s “I HATE YOU” troll David Horowitz, a fanatical fulminating bag of shit who in any decent society would be just another rote piss reeking miscreant standing on a streetcorner braying his nonsensical diatribes from atop a soapbox but he is given credibility here as some sort of authority and his crusade to promote the ‘Nazification’ of the American eductional system.

Horowitz, a shriekingly shrill textbook example of a reactionary anti-American douchebag even went so far as to suggest that Paul’s supporters along with the great libertarian blog Lew Rockwell and the usual whipping boy liberals are actually in bed with Islamofascists – that little nonsensical term created in some reich wing think tank to pimp the war of civilizations and to lump all of the enemies of that shitty little paranoid country Israel in together with one great little marketing phrase. They even found the term “Ron Paul Revolution” to be indicative of terrorism, typically the hypocritical bastards give no mention to either “The Reagan Revolution” or Newt Gingrich’s “Republican Revolution” as the vicious assaults on American values that they have proven to be. Fortunately there are some principled bloggers like Glenn Greenwald who are out there debunking the attacks that are coming from the poisoned arrows of both sides seeking to preserve their monopoly on power.

Beck and Horowitz labelled Paul supporters as potential domestic terrorists because of the massive success of the Money Bomb fund raising drive on Guy Fawkes Day that sent tremors of fear through the establishment. Fawkes is mainly known to Americans from his significant presence in the movie V For Vendetta and as the saying goes “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter” and those who control the media, the government and set the agenda also are free to label any dissenters as terrorists which is exactly what was intended with all of the tyrannical infrastructure built up with 9/11 as a justification. Paul’s supporters have scheduled their big next fund raising drive to coincide with the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party so you can be certain that the media mockingbirds will be working harder than hell at finding a way to label the American revolutionaries and by extension the founding fathers as terrorists of sort. Hell, you already see what kind of festering disdain that they have for the Constitution or as no less an authority than Emperor Bush himself once referred to it “a goddamned piece of paper”.

The distinction that isn’t made is that state sponsored terrorism – which can be called war and includes the murder of innocent civilians is not recognized by the pocket media shills for neoconservative world domination. Firebombing Dresden or Tokyo, razing Fallujah, mercs and soldiers raping and gunning down civilians in Baghdad and the soon to be launched bombing of Tehran are by definition ALL acts of terrorism only they are in most cases condoned by the state. America also has a long sordid history of propping up terrorist regimes in Latin America who used death squads and were trained to torture at what was formerly known as the School of the Americas all to protect corporate interests and the right of the rich to exploit the poor. Author Naomi Klein’s excellent new book The Shock Doctrine gets into this but there is far more out there showing exactly how the deplorable ‘enhanced interrogation techniques’ used at Abu Ghraib and Gitmo were already embedded in the empire’s DNA. Terrorism according to the definition doesn’t even actually require violence. According to the Miriam Webster dictionary terrorism is defined as:

Which of course would make George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Glenn Beck, David Horowitz, Bill O’Reilly and every other scum neocon who repeatedly invokes fear as a means of control are by their own loose definition: terrorists. This being said once the people are able to regain control of the institutions of government and the courts every last one of them should be tried under the provisions of their own PATRIOT Act and other vile decrees that have codified the use of Gestapo style tactics in Der Homeland. Hoist the bastards on their own petards and punch all of their one way tickets to Gitmo.

But I once again digress…

The most withering of fire of course comes from the neocons themselves who would be pathetic were they not so dangerous. By viciously attacking Ron Paul and libertarians with such intensity the neocons have blown their entire liberals as fake devils con job and made it pretty damned apparent that it is liberty itself that they so despise. Per Justin Raimondo in his most recent column What Antiwar Activists Have To Be Thankful For:

The neocon meme is now firmly ensconced in the American political consciousness as a term of obloquy. Back in 1995, when I first started contributing to this site, hardly anyone had ever heard of this particular “n-word,” let alone knew what a “neocon” was: today, the term is ubiquitous. That the neocons would dare to play the Nazi card against Paul is all too predictable with every over the top out of their fucking minds ideologue shrieking out meaningless tripe that compares Iran to Nazi Germany and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Hitler is reaching the level of gross parody. Their incessant use of Nazi analogies crossed the border into the surreal when the notorious blowhard and bully Alan Dershowitz actually – and I shit you not – invoked the fucking Nazis as justification for an argument advocating the use of torture. This is a stunning how totally fucking batshit and out of sorts that the Israel Lobby has become, blinded by their racism and a pathological desire to launch their own genocidal spree against the Muslim world and willing to use any method possible to slander and destroy any in America who stand in their way. Nutty Norman Podhoretz, Horowitz and all of the moles and fifth columnists from AIPAC to the American Enterprise Institute and their media mockingbirds have flogged the Nazi horse to death. Besides, it is just more of the same illogic and hypocrisy from the fascist poseurs who never could muster up any similar outrage over Prescott Bush’s role as one of Hitler’s top American money men or of the complicity of Wall Street bankers and captains of American industry in helping to build the Nazi war machine or of the hallowed Gipper’s connection to surviving Nazi elements during his rise to the pinnacle of power as the smiling face of apple pie authoritarianism.

Part Three – So It Goes…


Can it be that the usurpers and the moles are getting nervous? The coming AIPAC spy trial, the Sibel Edmonds time bomb that could expose the systemic corruption of the entire fucking U.S. government, the Ron Paul movement and the growing realization by more Americans that their system is rigged and has been rigged for a long time has these despicable rats and traitors now working furiously to ensure that they can use the government as a weapon against it’s own people. In a perverse way I suppose that Leo Strauss was right in believing that a liberal society held the seeds of it’s own destruction and would give way to tyranny and repression. It was the very liberal belief that fifth columnists with anti-American agendas were somehow entitled to eat away at the pillars of this country from within and were entitled to the same rights to free speech that others were, this in retrospect was wrong-headed and destructive and is what has set America on it’s current trajectory spinning off into darkness along the fascism arc. In reality the fifth columnists, the moles and their propagandists should have been ridiculed, shunned and marginalized instead of being allowed to shift the discourse first through the Powell Memorandum and then the think tanks.

People are catching on now and it must be stopped at all costs, the establishment will now start to close ranks and in a rare bipartisan manner circle the wagons so as to protect their corrupt spoils system. Their disdain for the concept of America has become blatant, their dismantling of the Constitution and of the social safety net is criminal and their attempts to scurrilously invoke the Hitlerian tactics of labeling dissenters as terrorists is treasonous. This country was founded on rebellion and borne out of the blood of a revolution against tyranny, one should take the time to read that inconvenient (in today’s context) document Declaration of Independence that proclaims that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is an American birthright:

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Seems to me that the governed are no longer rolling over and offering their consent because now more so than ever is the time to fight the future. Perhaps the Ron Paul movement will eventually turn into something that will ultimately attract enough of the disenfranchised to form the basis of a counter-revolution against a corrupt oligarchy and it’s bought and paid for servants. Ron Paul like any other man is nothing to the establishment, he is but a fly in the ointment and he can and will be squashed when the time comes for an electronic assassination in the same corporate media that took out Ross Perot, Ralph Nader and Howard Dean before him whose messages represented a threat to the existing order – the machine has become far more sophisticated since it became a necessity to eliminate JFK, RFK and MLK who were all simply shot by a deranged lone gunman who could then be made into a patsy and business went on as usual.

That Paul has no chance of winning the Republican nomination is irrelevant, what does matter is the spark may have been provided to a moribund and marginalized antiwar majority that is capable of catching fire to something much bigger. There is an oligarchy threatening, paradigm smashing crossover appeal attached to this that along with a largely disenfranchised electorate are a potentially volatile mix because such ingredients are necessary for the creation of a mass movement. As I referenced in my previous posting entitled The Antiwar Movement Needs A New Playbook Scott Ritter laid out the blueprint for an antiwar coalition backed by a drive for a restoration to constitutional values and the Ron Paul Revolution taps into this. I don’t think that I need to remind anyone of what can come out of failed presidential campaigns, look at what LBJ’s smashing of Barry Goldwater led to or for that matter the political power that was built using the mailing list from Pat Robertson’s failed run in 1988. This is a similar scenario which if left to grow will ultimately become a very serious threat to the ruling oligarchy, the looters and the blood barters and their global criminal enterprise.

As the protagonist in the aforementioned V For Vendetta so eloquently put it “Ideas Are Bulletproof” and I might add they are contagious as well.

Paul has become the equivalent of a rock star among the young, and his appeal goes way beyond the usual libertarian crowd: liberals and conservatives, all races and cultural types, from home-schooling Christians to San Francisco pagans and everything in between. On the Internet, and in the streets, the Ron Paul Revolution, as his followers have dubbed their movement, is taking off.

Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Bill Richardson and Dennis Kucinich have close to a hundred years of significant government experience and very significant things to say about the campaign, but have been treated in these debates like the opposition to Vladimir Putin are treated in the state-controlled Russian media.

It is a disgrace and a sham and a disrespect not only to those candidates but to the very idea of an informed citizenry choosing our next leader in a democratic election.

George Felix Allen: A Cornered Varmint

First he’s denouncing dark skinned volunteers of his opponent by using foreign slang terms that mean the same thing as what is potentially the most inflammatory slur in the English language that is the dreaded ‘N Word’ and then he claimed that he didn’t know what it meant. A few weeks later he threw a hissy fit when it came out that there was a bit of Jewish heritage on his mother’s side of the family but when his surprise and anger over being outed became a story unto itself he claimed that she never actually had told him his grandparents were Jews and by golly she made him yummy ham sandwiches and pork chops too.

It was such a display of bungling, phony ineptitude that he might as well as had the yiddish word for chump: SCHLEMIEL flashing in neon lights on his forehead. George Felix Allen has in the last two months proven nothing outside the ugly truth that he is a fraud, a bigot, an opportunistic stooge and to use one of the great critic H.L. Mencken’s favorite terms,a “mountebank” who is far more adept at fantastic feats of flip-flopping than a seasoned frycook at a busy Richmond francise location of that favorite peckerwood fine dining establishment known as The Waffle House.

And now in another story that that not only is the most inflammatory of all about the exploits of the dude rancher George Felix Allen mainly because it seems to tie all of those otherwise disparate quirks of his fondness over the nooses in his office (ironically an autoerotic asphyxiation fetish would probably now seem like a preferable explanation to a cornered racist) to an attraction to the Confederate flag despite not being from the south to his recently revealed youthful proclivity for tossing around the pejorative n*gger whenever he wasn’t stuffing bloody, severed deer heads into the mailboxes of black folks up in a nice big box adorned with a confederate flag colored ribbon. I can’t wait to see George Felix Allen’s inept campaign manager Dick Wadhams try to spin this latest story away

The latest and so far the greatest story about his phony comes courtesy of the website Salon and offers up these wonderfully tantalizing tidbits of pure red meat on the besieged dude ranch desperado:

“Allen said he came to Virginia because he wanted to play football in a place where ‘blacks knew their place,'” said Dr. Ken Shelton, a white radiologist in North Carolina who played tight end for the University of Virginia football team when Allen was quarterback. “He used the N-word on a regular basis back then.”

A second white teammate, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he feared retribution from the Allen campaign, separately claimed that Allen used the word “nigger” to describe blacks. “It was so common with George when he was among his white friends. This is the terminology he used,” the teammate said.

A third white teammate contacted separately, who also spoke on condition of anonymity out of fear of being attacked by the Virginia senator, said he too remembers Allen using the word “nigger,” though he said he could not recall a specific conversation in which Allen used the term. “My impression of him was that he was a racist,” the third teammate said.

Shelton also told Salon that the future senator gave him the nickname “Wizard,” because he shared a last name with Robert Shelton, who served in the 1960s as the imperial wizard of the United Klans of America, a group affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan.
 That thing about nicknaming his buddy ‘Wizard’ just fucking kills me as it is just so indicative of the mentality of these red state yahoos who take pride in their regressive ignorance. You know that things are getting grim when even celebrity obsessed Newsweek is starting to run stories on the the dude rancher whose bid to be the heir apparent for George W. Bush/Ronald Reagan/John Wayne style of American cowboy iconography is cowering in the sagebrush hoping to avoid the posse .

George W. Bush and the Republican party leadership needs to take a serious and principled stand and denounce George Felix Allen’s recent conduct in a similar manner as to they did to Good Ole Boy Trent Lott when Bush himself strongly condemned the former Senate Majority Leaders’s slobbering testimonials to the infamous bigot Strom Thurmond back in 2002. The big difference is then they had the ultimate American fraud, the penultimate lackey and the completely unprincipled charlatan Bill Frist waiting in the wings with marching orders to ram through Congress every legislative priority of the Bush-Cheney-Rove Axis of Evil balanced on the backs of the regressive, rubber fetus waving toads of the religious right who were spoiling for a fight and led by Frist and Tom DeLay turned the Florida hospice wherein lay the wasting body of Terri Schiavo into their own version of the Alamo.

But I digress…

In the lead up to the November elecions it is very apparent that the Bush administration and specifically Karl Rove don’t want to do anything to potentially piss off the Jesus juicing, NASCAR watching, angry redneck contingent of the hard core party base in ‘peckerwood nation’ down south of the Mason Dixon line. In fact there are surely millions who actually dig the fact that George Felix Allen is a dyed in the wool, rebel flag flying, epithet spewing, football talkin’, tobacco chewing manly man who loves to schmooze with neo-Confederate, white supremacists who hang out at rebel power hate-fests like the annual American Renaissance bacchanals of bigotry.

These same knuckle dragging freaks gave us George W. Bush in the first place and if not for George Felix Allen’s ugly self-immolation would be die hard and damned proud of it ‘Allen Lumpen Republicans’ in 2008. Now they will have to go find some other theocratic bigot who has at least some degree of crossover appeal to the restive moderates that were always looking for that man in the white hat to ride in to keep the savages at bay.

George Felix Allen will be soundly whupped next month but with his brother Bruce running an incredibly lousy NFL franchise down in Tampa Bay there will always be a job for GFA, even if it is for a ballboy and hey, after all nepotism is HUGE in the GOP.

George Felix Allen may or may not be the type of guy that would light a burning cross on a black family’s lawn but I would sure as hell bet that he would gladly come over to toast a marshmallow or two over the flames if he saw one.

The Wall Street Journal: Gospel for the Moneychangers

 In today’s environment of corporate friendly, corporate owned newsless newspapers there is one paper that stands out as the top voice for big business: The Wall Street Journal. The Journal is the preferred reading material for the idle rich, the corporate buccaneers, ruthless capitalist punks and their wealthy sugar daddies who are the modern day successors to the ‘Robber Barons’ in the new Gilded Age. The WSJ while publishing the same information on the latest Bush administration snooping program into the financial transactions of millions to ostensibly track the money that could be used to fund terrorist activities. As if terrorist networks don’t highly suspect that their money trail is already being followed? Give me a fucking break, we are talking about professional jihadists and not woebegone losers like the ‘Cornrow Qaeda’ and their silly, overhyped plot to take down the Sears Tower.

The Times story on the monitoring of international banking transactions handled by SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) while initially not treated as much of a big deal was then seized upon by the Republican slime machine as yet another story in which to tear the country apart by affixing the ‘treason’ label to critics and dissenters, most specifically the New York Times. Just in time for the 4th of July, what better time for divisive “you are with us or you are with the terrorists” blasts of fiery rhetoric to allow the fascist GOP to wrap themselves in ‘Old Glory’ which in to crib a term from language (hey Coulter does it) of Senator Bill Frist and modify it slightly, “lost today” and loses every day that it is reduced to being used as a Republican turd wrapper. Speaking of A.C. here is a good piece on the anorexic, horse faced, plagiarizing skank courtesy of a story in the Buffalo Beast.

The echo chamber began to churn with the wonderful potential of taking down the NY Times as a red meat offering to the basest of all bases that are the GOP diehards and dead enders by sending out the pitchfork wielding knaves to launch a coordinated assault against ‘The Old Gray Lady’ for it’s alleged constant barrage of ‘liberal bias’ (Hitler once said something along the lines that the bigger the lie the more people that will believe it) even though the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal published similar stories….why is it that there is never as much outrage over the WSJ’s over the top ultra-conservative bias? Well the good little soldiers like the insidious Peter King of Long Island were all too willing to lead the attack by leveling charges of treason against the NYT, going so far as to even suggest an inquisition by the Republican congress and Bushist lackey Senator Pat Roberts whose nickname should be ‘Stonewall Roberts’ for his complicity in obstructing any serious attempts by his Senate intelligence committee to investigate the criminality of the ruling junta in it’s assault on “that goddamned piece of paper” the U.S. Constitution. The attack was quickly joined by pinheads like Bill O’Reilly and the rest of the electronic demagogues and the angry army of activists that are the right-wing slime throwers in the blogosphere.

Frank Rich of the accused traitor New York Times put it very well in his latest outstanding piece in yesterday’s Op Ed column entitled:

‘Can’t Win the War? Bomb the Press!’(you will have to get a subscription to Times Select or check out an actual copy of the Sunday Times to get the whole piece but here are a few choice paragraphs….unlike Coulter I always give credit to the original author)

OLD GLORY lost today,” Bill Frist declaimed last week when his second attempt to rewrite the Constitution in a single month went the way of his happy prognosis for Terri Schiavo. Of course it isn’t Old Glory that lost when the flag-burning amendment flamed out. The flag always survives the politicians who wrap themselves in it. What really provoked Mr. Frist’s crocodile tears was the foiling of yet another ruse to distract Americans from the wreckage in Iraq. He and his party, eager to change the subject in an election year, just can’t let go of their scapegoat strategy. It’s illegal Hispanic immigrants, gay couples seeking marital rights, cut-and-run Democrats and rampaging flag burners who have betrayed America’s values, not those who bungled a war.

No sooner were the flag burners hustled offstage than a new traitor was unveiled for the Fourth: the press. Public enemy No. 1 is The New York Times, which was accused of a “disgraceful” compromise of national security (by President Bush) and treason (by Representative Peter King of New York and the Coulter amen chorus). The Times’s offense was to publish a front-page article about a comprehensive American effort to track terrorists with the aid of a Belgian consortium, Swift, which serves as a clearinghouse for some 7,800 financial institutions in 200 countries.

It was a solid piece of journalism. But if you want to learn the truly dirty secrets of how our government prosecutes this war, the story of how it vilified The Times is more damning than anything in the article that caused the uproar.

Sorry, that’s all that you are going to get here…you will have to seek out the rest on your own. Suffice it to say that the wrath of the entire anti-American fascist Republican establishment was loosed in a coordinated assault on the Times. De-facto President Dick Cheney as always led the charge with so much venom and vitriol that I am surprised that he didn’t blow out an aorta:

“What I find most disturbing about these stories is the fact that some of the news media take it upon themselves to disclose vital national security programs, thereby making it more difficult for us to prevent future attacks against the American people,” Mr. Cheney said, in impromptu remarks at a fund-raising luncheon for a Republican Congressional candidate in Chicago. “That offends me.” (NYT 6/24/06)

Leave it to ‘Dirty Dick’ to throw down the fear card that he has done so effectively in order to further his nefarious agenda ever since the stench of burning flesh from the WTC attacks was still in the air and bodies were being pulled from the rubble. Cheney is a man on a mission with a maniacal drive to overturn the constitutional intent of the founders by reconfiguring the presidency into a position where the chief executive would be able to wield dictatorial powers more in line with a king than a president. This is a man with vendetta and a thirty-year hard on for retribution against the press and the congress ever since the pullout from Saigon and the ouster of Richard M. Nixon from the White House. This is addressed in another outstanding piece in last week’s edition of the New Yorker on David Addington (Scooter Libby’s replacement) by Jane Mayer. ‘The Hidden Power’ offers a glimpse behind the scenes into exactly what goes on behind the scenes in the House of Cheney and the hardball tactics of the dark master and his minions in getting payback for the rat-fucking of Nixon by carrying out a vendetta against the checks and balances of the system.  But I digress, this post is primarily about the Wall Street Journal and the unique dynamic of their hard news department versus the White House adjunct on their editorial page. The GOP jihad against the press this past week is great at illustrating just how different that the two sections are. The WSJ editorial page like the good little attack doggies that they are lashed out at the dastardly liberals at the New York Times with a huge, hectoring diatribe on Friday that referenced the works of an obscure legal scholar and then proceeded to launch a scathing and caustic attack on the credibility of the Times that included the following statements:

“We recount all this because more than a few commentators have tried to link the Journal and Times at the hip”

 And:

“We suspect that the Times has tried to use the Journal as its political hitshield precisely because it knows that our editors have more credibility on these matters”And then the coup de grace:

“The problem with the Times is that millions of Americans no longer believe that its editors would make those calculations in anything close to good faith. We sure don’t. On issue after issue, it has become clear that the Times believes the U.S. is not really at war, and in any case the Bush administration lacks the legitimacy to wage it”

Translation: HANG THE LIBERAL FUCKING TRAITORS!!!

 Jesus, who in the fuck wrote that shit? Karl Rove? I absolutely love the comment where the WSJ editorialists seem to say that they are more reliable than the NYT and in a sense they are probably right, they have consistently been there to carry the water for the Republicans whenever controversy or the ugly spectre of truth reared its head. This vitriolic attack was so over the top that John Harwood a senior writer for the WSJ was forced to explain the “shocking” nature of the editorial on Meet The Press, here is the story on this from Editor & Publisher.

The WSJ is the ‘mighty wurlitzer’ of globalist corporate propaganda and is as indispensable to hard core neo-liberal free market fanatics as the availability of cheap overseas sweatshop labor is to their bottom lines. Crony Capitalists revel in the in depth coverage of corporate maneuvers and gossip of impending mergers and acquisitions that are predominant features of the Journal. The slavering devotion to promoting the ill advised policy of cutting taxes on the rich while increasing spending dramatically to ‘starve the beast’ is a dogma which the Journal promotes with missionary zeal while preaching to a choir of elitist, Chivas sipping, Lexus driving, Ayn Rand worshipping, gluttonous greed mongers. Gordon Gekko was a piker compared to the predators that have evolved since the golden era of Reagan deregulatory greed and rampant scandals on the street, they are far more sophisticated and the rise in technology has made the grand financial game both more intricate as well as easier to conceal. The truly great technical minds don’t work for international terrorist organizations or the law enforcement squads tasked with sniffing both they and corporate plunderers out, the true geniuses work on Wall Street where they manipulate the world markets like the true maestros that they are.

However, to broad brush the entire paper due to it’s target audience of the capitalist vultures who have no qualms over their profiting off of the screwing of the American working class, profiteering off of bloody foreign wars or booking gains made possible by the exploitation of sweatshop child labor toiling under barbaric conditions in third world shithole factories is not the point here. The Journal actually does have a fairly decent news operation that steers clear of the cheap and sleazy celebrity garbage that threatens to turn other papers into nothing more than toned down versions of the National Enquirer and other cheesy check stand tabloids.

To honestly look at the Journal it is necessary to look at each of its three major components independently rather than the paper as a whole.

The Good: The Journal’s actual news, although lacking in overall content is generally well written and researched and targeted at a far higher intellect than the incredibly bland and dumbed down McNews of the only national paper with a higher circulation: USA Today which is written to appeal to those with the cognitive level of sixth graders. The news section is generally filled with stories that involve corporations, regulatory information, serious domestic and international news that has the potential to affect investor decisions but that is to be expected by a paper that specializes in financial news and business information. It is definitely slanted towards those with a right wing bias but the actual journalistic qualities are of a high standard. The news department does a credible job on the stories that they do choose to cover at length but the majority of the paper to no surprise is dedicated to business news, pro corporate public relatons spin and of course the most in depth stock and financial section in print.

The Bad: A financial stats section that is a speculator’s dream and that wholly encourages the raging Laissez-Faire cancer that has eaten away the backbone of American prosperity. Former Fed Reserve Chairman and WSJ cult figure Alan Greenspan was treated with reverence and the current climate of market manipulation is praised to the extent of being something just below holiness. Despite the finest financial section in the land the Journal must bear some responsibility for pimping the neo liberal ‘free’ market worship that is laying waste to America in the name of unfettered global capitalism. The WSJ is to the speculators and high rollers what the racing form and tip sheet are to bookies and gambling addicts. The commonality is that both are degenerate gamblers in the same manner that a desperate crack addict offering cheap blow jobs for a daily fix and a ‘high class’ thousand dollar an hour prostitute are both whores.

While extolling the virtues of Adam Smith’s Invisible Hand the WSJ fails to mention the obvious contradictions between the selective interpretation of the much ballyhooed ‘Wealth of Nations’ and the realities of modern day society. Smith would definitely not be a proponent of the unrestrained ‘free market’ of today and it’s grossly disproportionate favoritism of the wealthiest of the wealthy and unaccountable corporations and their wholly owned subsidiary on the Potomac. In fact Smith’s treatise, due to the period in which it was first published was completely unable to forsee the detrimental and corrupting effects on the free market by high tech, transnational corporations and the individuals who guide them with no regard whatsoever to the continuing stability and health of the local community which must should in theory be the benefactor of trade, provided that the ownership has a vested interest in such a community. The perverse concept of total laissez faire economics actually lessens the ability of the markets to be either free or fair and when coupled with an inherently corrupt political system in which the largest of corporations are able to throw money around by the bushel like a rancher feeding slop to pigs to eliminate regulatory oversight and stack the deck in their favor it is anything but a free market and the small business owners as well as the consumers are the ones who are getting the shaft. Most Americans don’t even get the benefit of a reach around by the ‘invisible hand’ while being buggered by the unfettered ‘free market’.

The reason that I have labeled this particular function of the WSJ as ‘the bad’ is that it perpetuates the very forces that are destroying the American dream as well as laying bare the extremely unpleasant fact that unregulated capitalism is a failed economic system destined to one day (the sooner the better) assume it’s rightful place in the family plot of doomed ideologies next to the grave of totalitarian communism.

The Ugly: The one part of the WSJ that is the grossest and sleaziest by far is the Editorial Page which is probably the most overtly biased in the land not owned by either Rupert Murdoch or Richard Mellon Sciafe and which serves as a direct mainline from the think tanks and GOP propaganda mills to the targeted segments of the public who treat the Journal as the gospel itself. The Op Ed section is chock full of slanted and just plain nasty viewpoints dripping with poison pen vitriol that is designed to prop up whatever extreme right wing figures or organizations happen to be under fire at any particular time and to ALWAYS, no matter what happens discredit the hated liberals and act as a defender for political and corporate malfeasance or the extreme right.

It is the on the Op Ed page where the Journal crawls into the gutters and slimes around with the slugs with what is without a doubt the meanest, most subjective and dishonest staff of propaganda producing hacks this side of FOX News. Whether they be loudly whining about the evil bogeyman of dreaded liberal media ‘bias’, bashing progressive social programs and sane foreign policy the house columnists are geared towards promoting the same policies of divisiveness that their beloved Republican party touts, for their system to function according to their desires it is of the utmost importance to create phantoms in order to keep the poor pitted one against another so as they never realize the gross inequalities of the system itself. The worst nightmare of the elitists is for people to start grasping the unpleasant realities and to begin to question and to organize for that will be the beginning of the end for their beloved neo-liberalism and crony capitalism. Nowhere was the propaganda of the WSJ Op Ed section more blatant and outright deceptive as in their labeling of the poor, who pay no taxes as ‘Luckie Duckies’, a two word think tank created marketing phrase that utilized the twisted, through the looking glass logic that the poorest of Americans who had insufficient income to be liable for any sort of taxes were somehow the most fortunate of all.

Overall, the Wall Street Journal runs slightly (but not much) to the left of Benito Mussolini, a man whose ‘corporatism’ was fawned over by Fortune Magazine which featured Il Duce on it’s cover in the 1930’s as an example of a pro business leader, of course this was before fascism became a dirty word and well before it became businiess as usual on Wall Street and in Washington.

Not one to allow her ideological cronies to cash in on the big trifecta that is 6/6/6, a marketing bonanza for every business entity from the radical clerics who control the GOP to the woeful Tampa Bay Devil Rays who are playing the Los Angeles Angels (the Colorado Rockies whose proclamation that they were God’s Team came too late for the MLB schedule makers to capitalize on that titanic clash) to the yet another inevitably shitty Hollywood remake of a classic in the 2006 version of The Omen to the ruling dominatrix of irrational hostility and demonic Succubus Ann Coulter’s release of her latest dark grimore of anti- American psychotic rantings (DSM-IV certifiable…just check it out yourself) subtly and modestly entitled Godless: The Church of Liberalism and should be entitled Brainless: I Am Getting Rich off of Stupidity. The queen of mean is definitely not above pandering to the masses with today’s exploitative release of this tome of dementia and I am sure that somewhere on the internet some right-wing website is selling autographed and laminated copies….what’s the sense in plunking down 25 bucks for something that you can only use once guys? If Coulter really wanted to walk the walk as a paragon of ‘moral virtue’ for the ‘protecting the sanctity of marriage crowd’ she could get hitched herself…..to a member of the opposite sex. Thank God that she’s an arch-conservative, were she a ‘godless liberal’ she would be inundated with innuendo that being 40 something and single may make her……GASP….gay!

Anyway, today is the big day, 6/6/6 and the snake handlers in the GOP base of fundamentalist, gay-bashing red state regressives will no doubt be breaking out the Tim LaHaye books as well as their other talismans and screeching like demented banshees over the signs of the coming Rapture. I happened to drop by one of my local convenience stores over the weekend and my purchase of a six pack of Bud Ice Light and a bag of peanut M & M’s just happened to come to a total of GASP….6.66! The funny thing is that the clerk on duty, a mousy blonde girl in her mid-twenties with a look of about four kids in the past and a lifetime of we in the future suddenly froze and stared at the register muttering something unintelligible although I think that I could vaguely make out the word Jesus but then again I am not much of a lip reader. After ten or so seconds that seemed like a hell of a lot longer she shoved my stuff at me and backed away as if I somehow had caused her machine to product that dreaded combination of numbers. Knowing all to well the irrational tendencies of the local members of the God Squad I grabbed my shit and got the hell out of the place very quickly before she was able to reach under the counter for a gun seeing that in Florida it is now legal to kill people if you feel threatened (praise be upon the lord and Governor Jeb Bush) and I wasn’t about to stick around to see if that little trailer park hoochie mama was going for the gun loaded with silver bullets to dispatch a damned secular earthly agent of Lucifer himself.

As the masses of the mythical Antichrist in the south (he was known as the great deceiver after all but you NEVER hear this angle from the turn the other cheek pansies on the so-called religious left) gather in anticipation of the coming assault on Christo-American values that has once again been juiced by a renewed crusade against honest, taxpaying loyal American gay people Karl Rove and the other maestros of manipulation are rubbing their little cloven hooves together and cackling with demonic glee at yet another clever distortion that will keep the morons focused on winning the Civil War through a theocratic takeover and the subsequent inquisition where the elimination of torture protections and the prurient desires of the flock will allow them to bend us all over backwoods logs like poor Ned Beatty in the classic Deliverance. The GOP has hit the big trifecta by exploiting greed (the repeal of the estate tax), fear and loathing (the gay marriage amendment) and racism (the anti-Mexican crackdown disguised as a crusade against illegal immigration) and succeeded in changing the subject from Iraq, Iran, the schizophrenic stock market, government corruption, global warming and the myriad of other crimes of the Bushists including covert efforts to modify the military manual to downplay the importance of Geneva Convention as well as the discussion for mandatory conscription to provide more cannon fodder for the wet dreams of the PNAC boys.

I happen to listen to C-SPAN and Washington Journal in the mornings, you know the show where no matter the issue the hosts have split the callers into two camps which depending on which day that it is are broken down as Democrats vs Republicans or callers For or Against George W. Bush. Nice little gig but it is alas a rigged game as well. The ‘Republicans for The President’ line is often stacked with very articulate, on message callers armed with the daily talking points and a mandate to hog as much airtime as possible while the ‘Democrat line’ seems to be carefully screened to allow only the true dunces to get through on most occasions and when there is a well spoken caller armed with the facts they are either dumped due to the always suspicious ‘cell phone interference’ or given as little airtime as possible.

Anyhow I digress…

This morning the featured guest was none other than Senator Wayne Allard, he of the insidious anti-gay amendment that the GOP has chosen as the most important crisis in America this week (and the elimination of the estate tax on the unearned incomes of the wealthiest of the rentier class misleadingly named ‘the death tax’ by Republican think tank propagandists) rather than acknowledge the mounting body count in Iraq or….you get the picture, basically anything that really matters. Allard did his duty carrying the water for Karl Rove and Bill Frist by using his airtime to filibuster and regurgitate the standard RNC talking points repeatedly invoking terms like “the people’s will”, “activist courts” and the always successful when used in reference to racism and discrimination “state’s rights” ..here is a wonderful quote from a column by the great Bob Herbert of the New York Times (sorry, the link is unavailable unless you plunk the money to subscribe to Times Select) called Impossible, Ridiculous, Repugnant that pegs it dead on in the words of the late GOP strategist and Rove mentor Lee Atwater the man who was behind the infamous Willie Lee Horton racist ads that attacked Daddy Bush’s 1988 opponent Michael Dukakis:

“You start out in 1954 by saying ‘Nigger,nigger,nigger.’ But by 1968 you can’t say ‘nigger’ – that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states’ rights and all that stuff. You’re getting so abstract now [that] you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites.

“And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I’m not saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me – because obviously sitting around saying ‘we want to cut this’ is much more abstract than the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than ‘Nigger, nigger.”

There you have the states rights thing and the coded racism and if you extrapolate it forward to include the wide net cast for the fundamentalist red state rabble by the substitution of gays for blacks although the war against civil rights and entitlements is still on you have the current GOP strategy of demonizing a convenient scapegoat for all societal ills while the right-wingers and their fascist lackeys pick the public pocket and manipulate those who are the most ignorant into making the worst choices possible in supporting policies that ultimately destroy their own living standards. Allard was right on in pontificating from the electronic pulpit this morning in getting the message out, ‘Dullard’ as he is nicknamed according to a Time Magazine story was the perfect pitchman for this message of hate, Adolf Eichmann was also a nondescript, ordinary type of guy but always a loyal servant to an evil system as is ‘Dullard’. He and his ilk love to invoke the constitution and the intent of the founders and always find the First Amendment a useful shield whenever they are cowering behind it in order to tear down the rights that are guaranteed to all and not only those with their particular ideology and fealty to the elitists who run the system. He actually came across as a sort of a more refined version of former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan, a much smoother dissembler but the key job requirement of a Senator is exactly to be a highly polished liar and in this Allard fit the bill and was a perfect representative of a Republican Congress that is such an unrepentant mass of crooks and cheats gathered together in a house of ill repute that it is only a matter of time until a constitutional amendment is introduced to ban the display of Flying Spaghetti Monsters to appease the bible thumping yokels who may as well be screaming “RAPE ME” to their elected representatives as “PRAISE JESUS”! Personally I would love to see these rebel flag waving Neanderthals just secede from the union or even make a mass exodus to Texas where they can install George W. Bush as their Moses and Earthly king in two and a half years after he finally leaves the White House but it isn’t that simple, unfortunately we have to live with these idiots for better or worse, like a really bad marriage.

Maybe we have finally found something for which we can all pray together for: separation!

Anyway, enough of that tangent for the time being. Tonight is the big night…6/6/6 and I would strongly advise any and all free thinkers, liberals and most especially gays to lock yourselves inside safely and barricade the doors….the vampires and werewolves will be out in force tonight along with the freaks. They will gather together in their megachurches and board buses to the pastures where they can watch for the sky turning red and parting for the return of Jesus Christ and the opening kickoff of the Rapture. They will dance and cavort while smearing themselves in goats blood and feces while singing in strange tongues, thumping their dog-eared copies of Glorious Appearing and braying psychotically at the full moon in anticipation that the long-awaited end times will begin and their pathetic, wretched little lives on Earth will end and they will all be summoned up (minus the XXL Dale Earnhardt T-shirts) to sit at the right hand of God and watch their bosses, the liberals, the gays and the Clintons forced to endure plague after plague and unspeakable violence during the tribulation.

All of this is highly unlikely and pure hokum to any with a smidgen of intelligence, but wouldn’t it be extremely amusing (at least to me) to actually see following two things:

1: Jesus Christ actually returning to Earth and the subsequent horror of the red staters in realizing that he is actually a LIBERAL who is disdainful toward the corrupting influence of wealth, decries the indiscriminate bombing and execution of children of a darker complection than our lilly white asses, preaches tolerance towards your fellow man, disdains those who turn worshipping into a spectacle in garish and gauch mega-churches and their accompanying pomp and circumstance and loathes hypocrisy.

2: Seeing the ignorant peckerwood worshippers of the pulp fiction gospel of Tim LaHaye run as fast as they possibly can to their pickup trucks in order to scrounge up enough wood and a big assed nail gun to have another crucifixion.
